Just because lots of you were concerned, we’re all weathering fine down here. Lot of media hype about this storm, it’s no where near as bad as others. In fact the island has been rather pleasant through it all. Only major issue was one of our AC units blew up (maybe from debris?) and had to pull down the servers for a bit while repairs were made. Power and phones are up.
But here’s the funny part. The biyatch is turning around and coming back.
It seems that good ol’ hurricane season is interesting this year. We’re getting the craziest bank shot, as the storm finally gets downgraded to a tropical storm. It’s going to cross the peninsula and then immediately strengthen to a hurricane (again) and come right back around. What was pretty crazy about this storm is that it did NOT breakup and weaken when it made landfall. It held together very well and actually managed to intensify a bit. Kinda strange.
We should have taken some pics of the skies as they have been very interesting… they’ve looked more like compositing mistakes more than real atmospheric conditions. Hopefully everything plays out ok as this thing turns around… NOAA just predicted a even more southernly track than the pic over there. Kinda funny, but not really…
Wish us luck.
UPDATE : Everythings ok here, little further north there’s MAJOR flooding. As the storm is literary traveling at 0 mph across the state…
